Low Sugar Pop Tart
For the kid in you, with the adult you in mind.
Some snacks are timeless. This one just got smarter. If you were the kind of kid who lived for Pop-Tarts after school, consider this your grown-up version. It’s quick, fun to make, and skips the sugar crash.
This air fryer Pop-Tart uses a low-carb tortilla instead of pastry, a spoonful of GOOD GOOD jam for that fruity center, and a sugar-free glaze on top. Finish it off with rainbow sprinkles to embrace your inner child!
Ingredients
- 1 low-carb tortilla
- 1 tablespoon GOOD GOOD Strawberry or Blueberry Jam
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water
- Low-calorie powdered sweetener
- Splash of milk
- Rainbow sprinkles
Directions
- Cut the tortilla in half.
- Fold each half into a triangle, tucking in the edges to form a pocket shape.
- Mix flour with warm water to create a sealing paste.
- Brush the paste along the inside edges of the tortilla and spoon the jam into the center.
- Press the edges closed with your fingers or a fork.
- Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 to 8 minutes or until golden and crisp.
- While it cools slightly, mix your sweetener and milk to form a glaze.
- Spread the glaze on top and add sprinkles.
Tips
- Don’t overfill or the pocket might burst open while air frying.
- Want more crunch? Brush the outside with a little melted butter or coconut oil before air frying.
This is the kind of recipe that makes you feel like a kid again but still fits with your adult goals. It’s light, nostalgic, and just sweet enough to satisfy.
